Leo Macías is an authoress of romanic novels who hides behind the »nom de plume« of Amanda Gris. Though she is liable under contract to deliver three novels per year, she has not fulfilled her contract for months; instead of writing romantic novels she is only able to write dramas at the moment. And everything, because her husband Paco is not near her. Paco is a soldier who participates in a peace mission for Bosnia. During the months before Paco left, the couple had to go through one of the worst crises of their life. The postponement of the solution of their marital problems makes Leo unsure of herself and frail, which affects all aspects of her life. The love of Paco has died, but she defends it blindly and gets stuck on every hope, however preposterous it might be.

Leo Macías es una escritora de novela rosa que se oculta tras el seudónimo de Amanda Gris. Obligada por contrato a entregar tres novelas al año, Leo lleva meses incumpliéndolo; en vez de novela rosa le sale negra. Y todo porque Paco, su marido, no está. Paco es militar y participa en una Misión de Paz para Bosnia. Los meses anteriores a su partida , la pareja vivía una de sus peores crisis. El aplazamiento de la solución a sus problemas matrimoniales (podría decirse que Paco se fue dejándola con la palabra en la boca) provoca en Leo una fragilidad y una incertidumbre que invade todos los aspectos de su vida. El amor de Paco ha muerto, pero ella lo defiende ciegamente y se aferra a cualquier esperanza, por absurda que sea.

Obwohl sie vertraglich dazu verpflichtet ist 3 Romane pro Jahr abzuliefern, erfüllt sie diesen Vertrag schon monatelang nicht; anstatt Kitschromanen entsprinegen ihrer Feder nur Dramen. Und alles weil Paco, ihr Ehemann, nicht da ist. Paco ist Soldat und nimmt an einer Friedensmission für Bosnien teil. Während der Monate vor dem Weggang Pacos hat das Paar eine seiner schlimmsten Krisen durchlebt. Der Aufschub der Lösung der Eheprobleme macht Leo unsicher und zerbrechlich, was alle Aspekte ihres Lebens beeinflußt. Die Liebe von Paco ist gestorben, aber sie verteidigt sie blind und verrennt sich in jede Hoffnung, so absurd sie auch sein mag.
